Japan’s H3 Rocket Successfully Launched on Second Attempt

Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency announced that the second launch attempt of the H3 rocket, the first ending with the rocket self-destructing last year, was successfully completed. The newer version of the rocket, which is equipped with an improved ignition system, took off from the Tanegashima Space Center in Kagoshima province at 09.22 local time. The rocket carries one artificial satellite and two functional microsatellites into orbit.

The rocket was developed jointly with Mitsubishi.
