On May 26, clashes between Kosovo police and ethnic Serbs in the town of Zvecan wounded at least 10 persons as demonstrators gathered outside state offices as Albanian mayors prepared to take office. Soldiers from NATO’s international peacekeeping Kosovo Force were stationed in front of Zvecan’s municipal building.
