The Ukrainian State Emergency Service announced that the death toll from Russia’s latest large-scale attack on Kyiv has risen to 17. In what marks the second deadliest assault on the capital this year, Russian forces launched a staggering barrage of 74 missiles and 496 drones. Although Ukrainian air defenses successfully intercepted 48 missiles and 476 drones, several strikes broke through, including one that partially collapsed a 10-story apartment building. Noting that approximately 90 people have been injured in the widespread destruction, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko has officially declared tomorrow a day of mourning. Emergency crews continue to search through the rubble as the city grapples with the devastating aftermath of the bombardment
