Landslides occurred after heavy rains in the towns of Mianzhu and Weizhou in the Wenchuan region of southwest China’s Sichuan province. Wenchuan Emergency Management said it has found the bodies of four people, and three people are still missing. More than 400 officers are carrying out search-and-rescue work for the missing. Over 900 people were evacuated from their homes due to the incident.

Accompanied by German arms industry representatives, Wadephul condemned Russia’s attacks and reaffirmed Germany’s support with air defense systems, humanitarian aid, and economic assistance.
“Putin wants surrender, not negotiations,” he said, accusing the Russian leader of blocking peace efforts. Wadephul is scheduled to meet Ukrainian President Zelensky and Foreign Minister Sybiha during his visit.
