Last Emperor of China’s Patek Philippe Watch Sells for Record $6.2 Million

A historic auction took place at Phillips Asia Auction House in Hong Kong, where a remarkable timepiece found a new owner. The Patek Philippe watch, previously owned by Aisin-Gioro Puyi, the last Emperor of China and the inspiration behind the movie “The Last Emperor,” fetched an astounding $6.2 million from an Asian collector.

Thomas Perazzi, Head of Watches at Phillips Asia Auction House, expressed his excitement, stating that the sale set a new record. This extraordinary wristwatch now holds the title for the highest-priced emperor-owned watch ever sold.
