Recent rainy weather in the Eastern Mediterranean brought about a dramatic display in Hatay, Türkiye. Lightning accompanied heavy rain in the region, forming picturesque scenes reminiscent of a lightning storm. The flashes, visible over the Gulf of Iskenderun, turned the night into a luminous spectacle.
Following restoration, Ünye Castle in Türkiye’s Black Sea region has drawn 35,000 local and foreign tourists in just two weeks. Reopened with a unique rail-access historical corridor and open six days a week, the site has quickly become a key regional attraction. Officials expect visitor numbers to rise further during the summer.
