Approximately 1 million people in Islamabad, Pakistan, protested against Israel’s month-long bombardment of the Gaza Strip. The demonstration, organized by supporters of the Tehrik-i Lebbeyk Pakistan (TLP) Party, emphasized that the Palestinian issue is a concern for all Muslims and called on the international community to intervene and stop the attacks on Palestinians. The protesters demanded that the Pakistani government support the Palestinian people. The march included chants, Palestinian flags, and anti-Israeli slogans, and the police closed off the area around the parliament and ministries in Islamabad where the demonstrators were heading.
