Zoran Milanovic, supported by the Social Democratic Party (SDP), has been re-elected as Croatia’s president, winning 74.5% of the vote in the second round. His rival, Dragan Primorac, backed by the ruling Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ), received 25.5%.
The Croatian State Election Commission confirmed Milanovic’s victory, marking the highest percentage ever achieved in a second-round presidential election in the country. Celebrating the win, Milanovic expressed gratitude, saying, “Thank you, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and all Croatian citizens at home and abroad. This is a great day for me.”
