mobile vet named Vetbus treats street animals in Turkey’s Balikesir

Balikesir Metropolitan Municipality in Turkey has put Vetbus into operation, which is a full-fledged bus designed to provide accessible service to stray animals. The Vetbus made its first stop in Balya, parked in front of the Balya Municipality and performed health screenings, vaccinations, and internal-external parasite procedures on the animals brought by citizens.

Vetbus will travel every inch of 20 districts and continue offer all clinical opportunities even to animals in the most remote places. The service is vital for most strays as it provides rehabilitation of stray animals as well as the prevention of infectious and epidemic diseases, and the treatment of animals by vaccination in their neighborhoods. In the event of a disaster or emergency, the Vetbus will travel to any location to treat injured animals.

Excavator Operator Waits 27 Days to Protect Dove Nest in Hatay

In Hatay, Türkiye, excavator operator Bülent Kuyucu paused work for 27 days to protect a dove’s nest on his machine. Kuyucu did not work to avoid disturbing the birds until the dove chicks safely flew away.

Kuyucu said he accepted the financial loss but was happy to see the doves leave unharmed.
