Sandstorms hit several cities across Mongolia. In a statement made by the Mongolia National Meteorology and Environment Monitoring Agency, it was reported that central regions such as Ömnögovi and Dundgobi province in the south, Govi-Altai and Bayankhongor province in the west, the capital city Ulaanbaatar, Uvurkhangai, Töv province, as well as Khentii and Sükhbaatar province in the east were affected by the sandstorm. It was announced that the effect of the sandstorm is expected to continue in the coming days. In the statement, people, especially nomadic shepherds, were warned to take precautions against disasters.
