Ministry of Moscow put a new payment system with face recognition at metro stations called ‘Face Pay’. According to the new system, passengers started to get on the metro at the entrance by showing their faces instead of using metro boarding cards Troika. In the new method, people can be involved in the system by familiarizing their faces through the application. The metro boarding fees are automatically withdrawn from the bank account associated with the passengers once they show their face to at the entrance turnstiles. Over 9,000 people registered in the new payment method in the first 20 minutes of the service.

Landslides triggered by heavy rain have killed 7 people and left at least 21 missing in southern China. In Guizhou province, 2 were confirmed dead and 19 are still unaccounted for in Qingyang village, where rescue efforts involving 400 personnel continue. Authorities issued alerts for nearby Hunan and Jiangxi provinces, warning of further landslide risks. Similar rainfall last week killed 7 in Guangdong and Guangxi.
