Northern Cyprus Marks 52nd Anniversary

The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) celebrated the 52nd anniversary of the July 20 Peace Operation with a grand parade in the capital, Nicosia. Top officials, including TRNC President Tufan Erhürman and Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, joined foreign delegations and cheering citizens for the Peace and Freedom Day events. The ceremony began with the national anthem, followed by President Erhürman inspecting the ceremonial military units and greeting the public. In a symbolic highlight, young athletes presented the president with national flags carried directly from the historic Yavuz Landing Beach. The commemorative events then continued with a vibrant parade down Dr. Fazıl Küçük Boulevard.
