An oil tanker crashed into a roadside store and exploded on Long Island, New York. With injuries, the driver escaped the tanker, which was engulfed in flames after the explosion. About 50,000 liters of gasoline spilled onto the road, and the flames spread to the store. Firefighters who arrived at the scene spent more than 10 hours to get the fire under control. During the extinguishing efforts, 3 firefighters were injured and taken to the hospital. No casualty reported in the incident. The fire caused power outage in the region. An investigation was launched into the incident.
