Turkey’s first drilling platform

The first drilling platform in Turkey, Anadolu-01, is actively used after the drilling ships Kanuni, Fatih, and Yavuz. It has been actively working within the scope of well drilling projects for approximately 1.5 years since December 2020. A total of 9 wells will be drilled at depths between 1600 meters and 1950 meters. So far, a depth of 1300 meters has been reached in 8 wells and a depth of 1700 meters in 1 well offshores of Istanbul’s Silivri.

The platform can drill up to 7600 meters in shallow waters with a maximum water depth of 90 meters. It can operate in harsh conditions with a maximum wavelength of 14 meters and a wind speed of 129 km/h. The platform, which can accommodate a maximum of 113 personnel, has a deck of 64.6 meters long, 64 meters wide and 7.9 meters high. Anadolu-01 weighs 6,561 gross tons.
