Thousands of supporters of the imprisoned former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan staged a protest in front of the election commission office, claiming that the general elections were rigged because the official results have not been published since Thursday.
Khan’s former party, the Pakistan Justice Movement, denied that the independent parliamentary candidates it supported had won 99 of the 250 seats in the National Assembly, claiming that they had won 170 seats, and gained the majority. He then said that he would invite his party to form the government.
