A clash broke out between security forces and demonstrators during a protest against the postponement of the presidential elections on a university campus in the city of Saint Louis, Senegal, yesterday. One student lost his life. Senegal’s Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that the security forces on the campus did not intervene, and therefore they were not guilty.
Senegalese President Macky Sall announced last week that he had indefinitely postponed the presidential elections planned to be held on January 25 in the country.
