Pakistanis Battle Extreme Temperatures due to Heat Wave

The temperature rose up to 50 degrees Celsius in Pakistan, hit by a heat wave. While citizens were also overwhelmed by the heat, Pakistani officials warned the public against the risks of death due to heat stroke. Pakistanis were advised not to go out unless necessary and to keep themselves hydrated.

Approximately 2,000 people, mostly in the city of Karachi, died as a result of dehydration and heat stroke in 2015, when thermometers showed 49 degrees.
