Palestinians Flock to Aid Trucks as Hunger Escalates in Gaza

Amid Israel’s expanding occupation of Gaza, hunger continues to devastate the region. Palestinians, desperate for aid, are flocking to the few trucks that have entered, with 1,210 trucks arriving since July 27, far below the 8,400 needed. In the last 24 hours, 35 people were killed and 304 injured by Israeli fire as they tried to access humanitarian aid at the Dhikim Crossing. Despite the ongoing crisis, only 14% of necessary aid has been delivered to Gaza.
