Popocateptl volcano spews ash, lava in mexico

The Popocatepetl volcano spews a 1,500-meter-high column of steam, which is seen from Puebla in Mexico.  Authorities warned citizens that ash from the volcano could cause poisoning. According to a report from the National Center for Disaster Prevention (Cenapred), 128 exhalations accompanied by water vapor, volcanic gases, and low ash content were detected in the last 24 hours via the Popocatepetl volcano’s monitoring systems, as well as an explosion recorded at 01:34 hours on 11 September.

Popocatepetl Volcano ranks fifth among volcanoes expected to erupt in the next few years, according to scientists from the University of Manchester. Popocatepetl Volcano erupted three times last September, and lastly on October 7th.
