Montenegrins went to the polls to elect the country’s eighth president. A total of 532,599 registered voters will cast their votes between 9:00 and 22:00 at the ballot boxes in the country and abroad. There are seven candidates competing in the election.

Among the candidates, Milo Djukanovic, the current President and Chairman of the Democratic Party of Socialists of Montenegro (DPS), and Andrija Mandic, one of the leaders of the Democratic Front (DF), stand out with their numbers of supporters.

If no candidate receives more than 50 percent of the vote, the two candidates with the most votes will compete again in a second round on April 2.
