pro-saakashvili protestors gather in georgia’s capital

Protesters in Georgia gathered in front of the Government Building in the capital Tbilisi and marched to the Ministry of Justice for the transfer of imprisoned former President Mihail Saakashvili to a civilian hospital. Former Georgian President Mihail Saakashvili, who was imprisoned in a prison in Rustavi, Georgia and has been on hunger strike since October 1, was taken to a prison hospital after he fell ill recently. Nika Melia, the head of the United National Movement (UNM), which prioritized the protests, called on the crowd to gather once again in front of the Parliament Building tomorrow evening. Melia said that the protests will be held in different cities and spread to wider areas.
