protesters burn house of sri lankan resigned PM

A group of demonstrators protesting the economic crisis in Sri Lanka set fire to the official residence of the resigned Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, as well as the houses of ministers and lawmakers. At least 7 people lost their lives in the demonstrations and nearly 200 were injured. While the violence in the demonstrations subsided in the early morning, the curfew was extended for another day.
