Rainfall Raises Istanbul Dam Levels to 54%

Recent rainfall has boosted water reserves in Istanbul’s dams, with overall capacity rising to 54.17% on November 2, 2026, according to the Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (İSKİ). The level stood at 39.04% on October 3, marking an increase of more than 15 percentage points in one month. However, recovery has been uneven, with some dams exceeding 90% capacity while others remain below 5%. Water reserves have also improved significantly compared with the same date last year, when overall capacity stood at 22.54%. The figures highlight the impact of autumn rainfall, although water levels continue to vary considerably across the city’s dams.
