Efforts are being undertaken to heal the wounds in Hatay, one of the provinces most impacted by the Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquakes in Türkiye. Since February 28th, a ship called “Karadeniz Lifeship Süheyla Sultan” which is manufactured by Karadeniz Holding, has been sheltering earthquake victims in Iskenderun. The ship is presently used as a school and dormitory for earthquake-affected students preparing for high school and university exams. There are 55 teachers and 600 students on board and student registration remains open.
