Reconstruction efforts of 7.5-million-year fossils have being resumed at the Yamula barrage in the Tashan region of Kayseri, Türkiye. More than 100 new fossils discovered this year as a result of 6-year works, and primate search and aging has been conducted through new scan methods.
Ömer Dağ, an expert anthropologist, said: “We make models of the fossils that we have found. Moreover, we’re planning how we can reconstruct them and trying to answer questions in people’s minds about what the animal was like then, what it looked like. Also, we have so many examples of fossils, we don’t have trouble reconstract an animal figure.”
