With the arrival of spring, poppy flowers that grow spontaneously in many regions offer a visual feast with their scarlet and red appearance in Elazig. Poppies, which grow mostly in fallow areas in the Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia Regions and adorn the fields and roadsides with their crimson appearance for about three months, also create wonderful landscapes in Elazig. Poppies blooming on the water’s edge in Gemici village of Baskil district give peace to both residents and passers-by.
