Rehabilitation center became a shelter for Ukrainians during the war

The people in the Ukrainian city of Kharkov took shelter in the building that was used as a rehabilitation center before the Russia’s attacks on Ukraine. The rehabilitation center, which has become a refuge for Ukrainians, is home not only to Ukrainians, but also to 1,500 Indian students. In the center where the citizens who lost their homes due to the attacks stay, and 3 meals are served and other needs are met. “I was living in Kharkov but they bombed my house. Then we came here. Conditions are good here,” Olkov Vladimir Tikhonovich, who took shelter in the center, said.

Also Paziy Stanislav Ivanovich, who living in the center, described the current situation at the rehabilitation center. “Before the war, this was a rehabilitation center. The center has started accepting the public since the start of the war. The first to arrive were students at Kharkov University. 1,100 students from India stayed here for 1 week before being evacuated to Romania. We now accept citizens from the most dangerous areas of Kharkov,” Ivanovich said.
