Relatives of Israeli Prisoners Attempts to Enter Gaza Strip during Protest

Relatives of Israeli prisoners who set out from the Israeli capital Tel Aviv towards the Gaza Strip border in more than 300 vehicles held a protest in Nirim, approximately 2 kilometers from the Gaza Strip border, yesterday, demanding that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government sign a ceasefire agreement with Hamas that includes the exchange of prisoners.

The protestors called out to their relatives in Gaza using giant loudspeakers. Some relatives of the prisoners tried to run across the Gaza border, but were stopped stopped by the police.

“We must now sign an agreement and take all the hostages back. We are calling out to our Prime Minister, if you cannot do this, we will go in and take them back ourselves,” said one protestor.
