Restoration efforts are ongoing at Gök Madrasa in Tokat, known for its blue tiles and Seljuk architecture. Built in 1275, this historical site served as an educational center for Islamic and positive sciences and later functioned as the Tokat City Museum. The project, initiated in 2021 by the General Directorate of Foundations, aims to preserve the madrasa’s cultural heritage for future generations.
On the first day of Eid al-Adha, Istanbul residents headed to the beaches to escape the heat after performing animal sacrifices. Public beaches in Büyükçekmece and Küçükçekmece saw large crowds, with drone footage capturing the influx of holidaymakers.
The hot weather is expected to persist, with similar crowds anticipated at beaches and recreational areas throughout the holiday.
