Roman Chamber Tomb Found Under Man’s Land in Türkiye

A 2.5-meter-tall and 3-square-meter-wide chamber tomb dating back to the Roman period was found under the garden of a man’s house in Türkiye’s Gaziantep province, which was damaged in the massive earthquakes on February 6th. The chamber was discovered after the home owner reported a collapse in his land’s ground, which was the ceiling of the tomb, and an investigation was initiated by the gendarmerie. Officers found five human bones, one hollow jar, and one bronze fibula pin in the tomb. Investigations continue in the protected area.
