Russian investigative committee: 3 died in Crimean Bridge explosion

The Investigative Committee of Russia reported that 3 people lost their lives in the explosion on the Crimean Bridge. On the other hand, Russia’s National Counter-Terrorism Committee stated that the explosion occurred in a truck on the bridge, and then 7 tanks carrying fuel caught fire.
“According to preliminary data, three people died as a result of the incident. They were presumably passengers of a car, which was near the exploded track. As of now, the bodies of a man and a woman have been recovered from the water, and their identities are being established.” stated the Russian committee.
Crimean Governor Sergey Aksyonov said that alternative routes for vehicles have been opened for connection between Crimea and Russia. Noting that the fire on the bridge was extinguished, Aksyonov said that the repair process of the bridge will begin immediately after the investigation is completed.
