A Russian airstrike on a school used to distribute humanitarian aid in Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region has killed 24 people, including two rescue workers. The attack targeted a school in the village of Komyshuvakha, where residents regularly gathered to receive aid. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russian forces carried out a second strike, dropping nine additional bombs on a shelter where people had taken refuge. “The Russians cannot be unaware that the residents of Komyshuvakha continue to receive aid there every week,” Zelenskyy said, accusing Moscow of having no intention of de-escalating tensions. Zaporizhzhia’s acting mayor, Regina Kharchenko, said 27 people were missing, as rescue teams continued searching for survivors trapped under the rubble.
