Russian Strikes Kill 10 Across Ukraine

A coordinated wave of Russian attacks on the Ukrainian cities of Dnipro, Zaporizhia, Kharkiv, and Sumy has left 10 people dead and 47 injured. The deadliest strike hit Dnipro, where a missile attack killed six and prompted President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to urge Europe to actively develop “its own ballistic missile defense.” Drone and glider bomb strikes also hit a minibus in Zaporizhia and civilian areas in Kharkiv, causing additional fatalities and widespread damage to vehicles and infrastructure. Vowing retaliation for the assaults, Zelenskyy emphasized the need for countermeasures that directly impact “Russia’s capacity to prolong the war.” Meanwhile, emergency response teams across the affected regions, including Sumy, are actively battling fires and assessing the heavily damaged sites.
