Russian military attacks have claimed the lives of six people in the Kyiv region and five in the city of Sloviansk. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the casualties, noting that a guided missile strike on Sloviansk severely damaged homes, vehicles, and a consulate building. Condemning the violence, Zelenskyy stated, “These were brutal attacks against civilians, and the Russians must be held accountable,” adding that Moscow’s only remaining interest is “to continue the slaughter.” He also issued an urgent appeal to international allies for enhanced defense capabilities, declaring that securing “interceptor missiles for Patriot systems are our number one priority.”
