After the 4.5-magnitude earthquake that struck the Gulf of Iskenderun in Türkiye’s Hatay province at 11.49 p.m. last night, seawater flooded in Iskenderun. The district governor stated that the overflow was caused by the southwesterly wind, not the earthquake. During the day, seawater flooded some streets.
Additionally, the earthquake damaged the fishermen’s shelter, and the fishermen were barely able to protect themselves, their families, and their boats.
