Heavy rainfalls led to severe flooding in various regions in Thailand’s far-south provinces of Narathiwat and Yala. Some roads and railway lines were closed, and a section of rail track in Yala collapsed due to flood waters. The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation said that the adverse weather conditions during the flood affected thousands of people.
