The severe storm that killed at least 19 people in the US state of California since December 27, has brought life to a standstill. Approximately 34 million people in the state are facing the danger of flooding while more than 200,000 homes and businesses were left without electricity. Emergency aid has been ordered for areas affected by floods, landslides and mudslides.
US President Joe Biden declared state of emergency for California.
