Sold abroad airliner transported in 12 pieces in Turkey

An Airbus A-300 type airliner, which became obsolete after operating in the aviation for many years, had been waiting in an unused state for 23 years at Istanbul Atatürk Airport in Turkey. After many years of waiting, the A-300 type airliner sold abroad to be used as a flight training device. However, the airliner disassembled into 12 pieces due to its massive size. The parts were loaded on 9 semi-trailer trucks and transported to Avcılar Ambarlı Port, where they would be taken abroad, at night under precautions. During the transportation of the plane, police officers accompanied the trucks for security purposes. The airliner will be loaded on a ship in Avcılar Ambarlı Port and will be sent to a Middle Eastern country.
