South Korea’s Pathfinder Lunar Orbiter (KPLO) has been successfully launched from Cape Canaveral Space Force Base in Florida, USA. The SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket carried the pathfinder to lunar orbit.
The South Korea’s first pathfinder weighs 678 kilograms, and it will lead the way in country’s space exploration. The scope of the mission also includes South Korea’s ambition of making robotic landing on the moon in the early 2030s.
