A severe storm off the coast of Shimonoseki city in western Japan led to a distress call from the South Korean-flagged chemical tanker “Keoyoung Sun” at 07:05 local time, as reported by the Japan Coast Guard. Responding to the call, the coast guard team was dispatched, but unfortunately, the 870-ton tanker capsized. Fortunately, 8 crew members, consisting of 8 Indonesians, 2 South Koreans, and 1 Chinese, were rescued out of the total 11 on board. Efforts are ongoing to locate the 3 missing individuals
