Fifteen people were injured after South Korean warplanes mistakenly dropped eight MK-82 bombs on a residential area in Pocheon, Gyeonggi province, during a military drill.
Authorities confirmed that two KF-16 jets were involved in the incident, which also damaged seven buildings and a church. Among the injured were two soldiers and two foreign nationals, though none were in critical condition.
Around 50 residents were evacuated as officials assessed the damage. The South Korean Air Force, which was conducting the drill with the U.S., apologized for the accident and pledged full compensation for the losses.
