The “Unity” spaceship, which is designed to carry tourists to space, underwent a successful test by Virgin Galactic – the spacecraft manufacturer and space tourism corporation owned by British businessman Richard Branson. The spacecraft detached from the carrier plane “Eve” at an altitude of 14 kilometers, shortly after takeoff from Spaceport America in New Mexico, USA. The spacecraft pilots, CJ Sturckow and Nicola Pecile, flew for 9 minutes before returning to the base. A rocket test of the spacecraft is also planned for this year.

Syrian Defense Minister Major General Murhaf Abu Kasra announced a ceasefire in the predominantly Druze city of Sweida, where deadly clashes between Druze and Bedouin groups have killed 99 people since Sunday.
Abu Kasra stated that the ceasefire was reached after talks with local leaders and that only armed provocations would be met with force. Security control will now be transferred to police under the Interior Ministry.
The violence began after Druze groups seized vehicles from Bedouins, triggering kidnappings and armed conflict. The Israeli army struck Syrian tanks en route to Sweida, warning against threats to the Druze population.
