Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez called Israel’s actions in Gaza a “genocide” and urged the EU to suspend its partnership agreement with Israel. Speaking ahead of the EU Summit in Brussels, Sanchez said it was hypocritical for the EU to impose 18 sanctions packages on Russia but not act against Israel. “We do not want to do business with a genocidal state,” he added, referencing his earlier remarks in the Spanish Parliament.
