Spain’s traditional San Fermin festival backs after 2-year hiatus

The traditional San Fermin Festival in Pamplona, Spain has resumed after a two-year break due to Covid-19 pandemic. A total of 532 activities will be held in the festival, which began with the fireworks, street entertainment, children’s activities and the bull-running event – the highlight of the festival. Visitors from all around the world participate in the bull-running, where they attempt to outrun the 6 angry bulls along a route through the narrow streets of Pamplona’s old city.

The San Fermin Festival, which is traditionally held every year in the city of Pamplona in the north of Spain, gained worldwide fame after being featured in the novel “The Sun Also Rises”, published in 1926 by the American writer Ernest Hemingway.
