Anatolian Wonderland Zoo in Turkey’s Kayseri have prepared special areas for tropical animals to keep them warm during extreme winter. The zoo veterinarian Kaan Erkek stated that necessary precautions were taken to prevent the hot climate animals from being adversely affected by the cold. “There are 1,600 animals of 153 species in the zoo which is 180,000 square meters. We conduct studies on the temperature of the animals in the transition from summer to winter.” Erkek said. The food is also prepared in accordance with the winter.

In Hatay, Türkiye, excavator operator Bülent Kuyucu paused work for 27 days to protect a dove’s nest on his machine. Kuyucu did not work to avoid disturbing the birds until the dove chicks safely flew away.
Kuyucu said he accepted the financial loss but was happy to see the doves leave unharmed.
