A deadly fire broke out in a 14-storey night dormitory with 60 people in the Soran district of Erbil city of the Iraqi Kurdish Regional Government at night. Soran District Governor Helgurd Sheikh Necip reported that 14 people died and 7 people were injured in the fire. According to Necip, a university professor was also among those who lost their lives.
