Students, who have been demonstrating support for Palestine at Columbia University in the USA since April 18, occupied the school building. The students, who barricaded themselves with the furniture and metal pieces they carried, named the building “Hind’s Hall” in memory of Hind Rajab, 6-year-old Palestinian girl who was killed by the Israeli attack in Gaza.
Columbia University Spokesperson said that the students were committing a crime by damaging property and blocking entry to the building and that they would face the risk of expulsion if they continued.
The police entered the campus and intervened with the students and detained many protesters.
