Pro-Palestinian students gathered in front of the Pantheon monument near Sorbonne University, one of France’s distinguished universities, to protest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Carrying Palestinian flags and shouting “Freedom for Palestine,” the crowd demanded a ceasefire be made in the Gaza strip.

“We have freedom of speech, freedom to express ourselves and freedom to protest. But the government does not want this. They are trying to drive us away with tear gas or harsh interventions by the police. This is unacceptable,” said one supporter.
