A police officer was killed and 8 injured in a suicide attack on a police station in Bandung, Indonesia.

The incident broke out as the attacker entered the garden of a police station with a knife on his hand at around 08:20 local time. Quickly running towards the entrance of the police station, the attacker blew himself up by detonating the bomb on them. Police Spokesperson İbrahim Tompo told reporters that 1 police officer died and 8 people, including a civilian, were injured in the attack.

The incident caused great panic while the station got covered in smoke.

Bandung police is investigating the incident with an anti-terrorism unit.
