Syria, SDF Reach Ceasefire And Integration Deal

The Syrian government and the Syrian Democratic Forces reached a ceasefire and full integration agreement following army operations in northeastern Syria. Under the deal, the provinces of Deir ez-Zor and Raqqa, along with border crossings and oil and gas fields, will be handed over to Damascus, with security provided by the Syrian army. SDF forces will withdraw east of the Euphrates and their members will be individually integrated into the Syrian defense and interior ministries after security checks. The agreement also includes clearing heavy weapons from Ayn al-Arab (Kobane) and placing ISIS detention camps under state control. Non-Syrian PKK members will be deported as part of the deal.
